The graph below compares changes in the birth rates of China and the USA
between 1920 and 2000.
The line graphs reveals information about how the birth rates in two different countries, USA and China, have shifted throughout 1920 to 2000.
Overall, the number of birth rates in USA and China decrease over the period given. It can be seen from the graphic that the rate comparison between USA and China is not significantly different on the first period. It then continued until they got their lowest point in 1945 and reached the peak in the next five years, and after that, it decreased dramatically until the end of the period.
USA was leading in the beginning of the stage, but later it turned out that the number had been decreasing significantly since 1950 until the end of the period. It differs from China where China was also dealing with some decrease in the number, but they managed to keep it stable at less than 10%, where USA’s latest level is less than 5%.
