The graph below shows average carbon dioxide( CO2) emissions per person in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and portugal between 1967 and 2007.
The line graph illustrates the amount of carbon dioxide released by each people in four different countries from 1967 to 2007.
It can be seen from the graph, the average CO2 emission in the UK remained the biggest figure, whereas Portugal was the lowest one. Moreover, Italy and Portugal continued its upward trend during the whole period, but the United Kingdom steadily decreased. Specially, in the first two years, the amount CO2 in Sweden rose significantly but after that it dramatically fell down.
To begin with, the highest average carbon dioxide emission went on UK, the figure went up by over 8 metric tones. By contrast, Portugal had the smallest number of CO2 released that was under 6 metric tones. Although Sweden did not have excessively figure CO2 emission liked the United Kingdom, but it still reached to nearly 11 metric tones in 1977.
On the other hand, even though UK remained the most popular number during 1967-2007, but its trend dropped steadily, from 11 metric tones to 9 metric tones.Meanwile, Italy and Portugal increased noticeably, which was far more three times than the first period. Sweden had a fluctuated average amount carbon dioxide emission that rose considerably in between 1967 and 1977, then decreased sharply in the last period.
