Essay topics:

The graph below shows average carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per person in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy, and Portugal between 1967 to 2007.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The following graph illustrates the mean share of each person in the UK, Sweden, Italy, and Portugal contributed to greenhouse gas emissions during 1967 till 2007.
As can be clearly observed from the graph, there are two distinctive trends: downward and upward. Italy experienced s significant climb in CO2 emissions from nearly above 4 tons to about 8 tons within 1967 to 2007. Likewise, there was a sharp increase in greenhouse gas emissions in Portugal from around 1 ton per person to below 6 tons at the same course.
On the other hand, the downward trend consists of both UK and Sweden. Emission of CO2 went down considerably in UK from approximately 11 tons to a bit above 8 tons, while the greenhouse gas emissions of the Sweden witnessed a remarkably fall from nearly 9 tons per individual to below 6 ton during 1967 to 2007.
It is clear from the graph unlike other three nations of UK, Italy and Portugal which CO2 emissions followed a monotone increase or decrease, the amount of greenhouse gas emission in Sweden rose sharply during a decade from 1967 to 1977 then it fell wildly.
