The line chart given represents average monthly change in the prices of three elements namely, zinc, copper and nickel over the year 2014.
The percentage change depicted in the graph is compared with change in previous month. In the month of January, nickel had the highest increase in price in comparison with zinc and copper. Zinc had only 1% change which was the lowest of all the three metals. In the month of February, there was an inclination in price of zinc only. Overall, there was a drop in the prices of all metals after February till June. But, there was a surge in average monthly change in the prices for rest of the year.
During the month of December, nickel recorded the least monthly change in price. On the other hand, zinc recorded the highest monthly change with a rate of 2%. During the month of June, the prices of three metals witnessed a drastic drop. From the graph, we can clearly see that percentage change in prices remained constant for all the three metals during the months of July, August and September.
It is evident that all metals had a drastic change in prices as compared to previous month over the year 2014.
