The graph below shows female unemployment rates in each country of the United Kingdom in 2013 and 2014.
The bar chart depicts the percentage of female unemployment in four countries of the United Kingdom in both years 2013 and 2014. Overall, It is clear that the proportion of unemployed females in Scotland rose slightly, while the figure for remaining countries fell. It also mentions that, in 2014, Scotland had the highest level of female jobless.
To begin, in 2013, 6.8% of women in England did not have a job. This figure then dropped steadily to 6.5% of unemployed females in 2014. In contrast, standing at a lower proportion, at 6.1% in 2013, the number of women who were unemployed in Scotland increased to 6.7% in 2014. Scotland, therefore, had the highest number of the female unemployment rate over the period of 2 years.
As can be seen from the graph, both Wales and Northen Ireland saw a similar female unemployment rate. In 2013, 5.4% of women in Wales and 5.6 % of women in Northen Ireland were unemployed. By a year later, the figures for both countries had fallen to 5.0% and 4.6% of unemployed females respectively.
