The given bar graph illustrates the leisure activities which youngsters in the two countries of New Zealand and Australia relish doing most in the year 2007.
Overall, the children in Australia enjoyed art and craft the least, but the ones in New Zealand liked this activity the most. It is also noticeable that the Australian children liked sports the most while the New Zealand children enjoyed it the least.
Regarding the first three activities, Australian youngsters took up around 5%, and the New Zealanders occupied about 5 times higher than that figure. The Australians constituted 10% in reading books, and the figure for New Zealanders was about 7% higher. There were no significant differences between the category of playing computer games between the two groups, at exactly 15% for the Australians and around 15% for the other.
Concerning the remaining spare time activities, Australian youngsters covered precisely 15% in watching DVDs, and the other group was around 17%. Going to the park was favored by the children in Australia, at 25%, but this activity was only around 10% among the young New Zealanders. The most favorite activity of the Australian children was playing sports, with nearly 30%, but the figure for the children in New Zealand was only one-third.
