A glance at the graph given reveals how many books men and women read at Burnaby library during the period between 2011 and 2014.
In overall, men tended to read more and more books over the 4-year period whereas the number of books read by their female counterparts dropped.
In the first third of the surveyed period, there was a slight increase in the number of books read by males from just over 2000 to 4000 books. However, in just one year, that number rose up significantly by 6000 to 10000, and by 2014, men have read 14000 books.
As for the females, from 2011 to 2013, the number of books read grew gradually from over 4000 to 10000 in 2 years. Nevertheless, women tended to read less compared to the last 2-year period, which made the number decrease steeply to around 8000 throughout the last year in the surveyed period.
