The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.
Write at least 150 words.
The given graph details the figure of enquiries that the Tourist Information Office of a city received from January to Jun in 2011. It is clear that there were three different ways to communicate to the office. In general, having inquires in person and by telephone became more commonplace, while letters or email were not the prior choices of the citizens.
In January, the Tourist Information Office received 900 enquiries by telephone, which was the highest number of enquiries in the three methods. At that time, people sent under 800 enquiries by letter or email while the number of those asked in person was just more than 400.
From February to April, the passion for asking for information in person of the residents increased noticeably which leads to a considerable rise in the number of enquiries, from 400 to 1300. Besides, telephone still remained its popularity with a slight boom from 800 to 1000 enquiries in 3 months. In contrast, enquiries sent by letters or emails displayed a reducing tendency, from 700 to under 600 and this method became the least famous one to communicate to the Tourist Information Office.
In the last period, asking in person and by telephone still presented upward trends when the number of enquiries sent in person reached its peak at more than 1800, which is four times than those sent by letters or emails (under 400). In addition, the Tourist Information Office received 200 enquiries more than the previous month, from 1400 to 160 enquirires.
