The line graph demonstrates the change in the number of enquiries asked by three different forms of communication in one city over the course of six months in 2011 and these enquiries were received by the Tourist Information Office.
Overall, while enquiries asked through letters or emails saw a slight decrease throughout the period, the other two means of communication, including in person and by telephone, experienced upward trends. In addition, the number of requests sent by people who preferred to meet directly jumped significantly over a 6-month period and ranked in the top position.
Regarding the number of people who liked to send their requests through emails or letters, the figure showed that the number of these means received by the Tourist Information Office witnessed a small decline in the first two months, from about nearly 800 requests in January to 700 requests in March. Furthermore, the data seemed to sharply collapse between March and May with over 300 enquiries, and it remained stable until the end of the period.
Enter the other two forms of communication, which were in person or by using the telephone. Both of these means saw remarkable rises during the six months. The number of enquiries received by people who were interested in using the telephone started roughly at 900 requests in January, and fluctuated slightly in the next two months, before significantly rising in the last two months, at 1600 enquiries in June. The Tourist Information Office, on the other hand, received about 400 enquiries from people who met in person in the first month of the year; however, this figure began to jump remarkably after that and reached the first rank in June when the Office received nearly 2000 requests.
