At a fleeting glance, it is vivid that the highest number of overseas visitors went to the coast in 1987 which was 40000, whereas, merely 10000 masses visited the lakes, followed by mountain travellers with 20000 in the same year. The beach visitors minorly decreased to 35000 in 1992 and reached at the peak with steady increase around 75000 in 2007.

Moving further, non-European mountain tourists grew to 30000 in 1997, then remained constant until 2002 before rising marginally to 35000 at the end of given time period. In terms of lake travellers, it elevated to 40000 in 1997 and with dramatically increment reached near about 72000 within five years, however, the numbers slipped back to 50000 in 2007.
