Obviously, the figure of foreign visitors to the coast consistently ranked first. Coast and mountains saw a growth in overseas travelers; meanwhile, lakes experienced a downward trend.
From the beginning of the period, the coast dominated others with 40 thousands. The year 1992 witnessed an identical figure of lakes and mountains at 25 thousands. Over a period of 10 years starting from 1987, the number of overseas visitors rose significantly in lakes and coast to 40 and 50 thousands respectively; for the time being, mountains fluctuated between 20 and 30 thousands.
Starting with a peak at approximately 75 thousands, lakes experienced a sharp decrease in abroad visitors to 50 thousands in the years from 2002 to 2007. During the same period, the mountains went up considerably to around 35 thousands. At the end of period, coast took the lead with 75 thousands.
