The line graph compares the number of university graduates between males and females in Canada from 1992 to 2007. Overall, it is important to note that the number of female graduates had always been higher than the number of male graduates over the timeline.
Starting sequentially at 70,000 and 100,000, the figures of both male and female graduated students had witnessed a slight increase of 10,000 students between the period of 1992 and 1995. Those figures experienced a decline from 1995 to 1998, when the figures for female graduates hit the lowest point of the period on 1998.
After the falls, there had been a significant increase in both figures. The number of female graduates had increased significantly by over 50,000 right after 1998 and it hit the peak of nearly 150,000 graduated students on 2007. Unlike the female graduates' figure, the males' had been fluctuating for 3 years after 1998. It was not until 2002 that the number of male graduates started to rise. The number of male graduated students had increased significantly by 20,000 students, yet it was certainly lower than the female graduates.
