The line graph illustrates the proportion of Australian exports to 4 countries
namely:Japan,US,China and India between 1990 and 2012
Overall, the proportion of import from Australian witnessed an upward trend in
China and India while that in Japan fall and US fluctuated throughout the year.
Another striking feature is that Japan was the country with highest percentage for
majority of period ,the figure for India was the lowest for each year
In 1990,around one-fourth of Australian export to Japan, compared to that of
US(11%).Two remain countries account a smaller share by 2% and 1%
respectively. Over the following 10 years, Japan experimented a slightly dropped
by 7 % while the opposite was true for China. Beside, exports to US fluctuated
between 8% and 11% whereas there was a stability until 2000 in India.
According to data, the proportion of exports to Japan continued gradual decrease
over the period, meanwhile, it is noticeable that by 2008,China supplanted Japan
to become country with the highest percentage of import from Australian.
Regarding US, the figure hit the lowest point in 2010 by 5% and recovered a little
bit to 6% in 2012.Throughout the period, despite a 5 time rise to roughly 5%,India
still ranked last among all country.
