The proportion of people who used the bus for travelling for various purposes is conventionally illustrated by the given table between 2009 and 2011. the data has been calibrated in percentage.
To start with, in 2009, 65% of people went shopping by bus. This percentage dropped significantly and reached just over 50% by 2011. while , nearly a fifth used the passenger vehicle for visiting friends in 2009 and 2010, but these figures increased slightly in 2011 when just a quarter of people used the coach for this purpose.
Secondly, the voyage for work was done by 5% in 2009, whereas this proportion declined marginally and by 2011, hardly any person travelled by bus for going to work. Furthermore, using the bus for study and day tours showed a similar trend, but the use of the bus for day tours was done by about 3% more people in all the given years.
To sum up, it can be clearly seen that the bus was the most prefered mode for shopping in the given time period. Also, the use of buses for shopping and going to work became less, year by year. On the other hand, for other purposes, the choice of a bus is considerably increased over the three decades.
