The graph below shows the pollution levels in London between 1600 and 2000.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.

The line graph illustrated how the pollution level in London is fluctuating for a 400 years. They are measured in micrograms per cubic meter.

Overall, the major contributors to rise the level of impurity are Smoke and Sulphur dioxide. In contrast to Smoke, Sulphur dioxide plays a major role because they have a huge amount of impact. Even though Smoke has a less impact in some years it has shown its greatest.

In 1600, both started with 0%. Smoke placed itself in the bottom. Sulphur dioxide has enlarged itself since 1600, had a surge dramatically and had a peak in many years. There were three years in which it touched its largest. But the highest out of them was in 1850. Smoke who had risen slowly, touched its good height in 1900. Both of them started to fluctuate after 1900. The decreasing rate was also at its full speed which ended up completely around 2000.

Clearly, London has experienced a worst situation before 20th Century than it is now. In comparison, it is very clear that Sulphur dioxide has played a crucial part in increasing the levels of pollution in London.
