The line graph illustrates the percentage of citizens aged 65 and over in three different countries over 100 years period.
It is easily to realize that there are 3 main countries in this research including USA, Sweden and Japan. Beside, All these countries are in upward trend in whole period, especially Japan is estimated on the top in 2040.
Firstly, USA is described as a country which was quite stable from the beginning (about 10% in 20-first-year). But, after that, it increased almost 5% by 1980. Despite of slightly decreasing, by the years 2040, it will acheive almost over 22%.
Secondly, overal, Sweden's population in on upward trend also. And, it will get second position in 2040 (25%-to be precise) about old aged citizens when comparing with others.
Finally, the population of Japan decreased approximately a half from the start to the year 1986. By contrast, in the next 38 years, the proportion has risen and will get 10% in 2024. From 2024 to 2040, it increases dramatically which is predicted that will be the highest percentage among three countries.
