As can be seen from the graph, the total number of people in Someland who smoke on an annual basis fall between 1960 and 2000 and the most dramatic decrease was seen in men.
In 1960, while only 100 in 1000 women smoked, this figure increased considerably to the number of over 300 in the next 15 years. From 1980 to 1990, there was a slight drop in the number of smoking women but over the course 10 years starting from 1990, it fell dramatically from 300 to 200 people.Moreover, the rate of smoking among men declined steadily. While in 1960 there were about 600, the figure for the later year being nearly 300. The most outstanding reduction was seen from 1990 to 1995 with 100 people.
