The given line graph below compares 02 sexes: male and female in terms of the number of smoking per 1000 people who lived in Someland between 1960 and 2000.
In general, the most significant facts to emerge from the given graph are that the rate of smoking men decreased while that of women smoker increased. At the beginning of the period, the most of people smoking are men; however there is not significant difference between a number of man and women smokers at the end.
In the first year of the period, the figure for men was very high at around 600 people per 1000 chosen people meanwhile that of women smoker was significantly lower at nearly 100 people. The period from 1960 to 1975 experienced a minimal decline in the men smoker’s numbers of 100 people while the rate of smoking women rocketed threefold from nearly 100 to over 300 people athought that remained constant at about 200 women from 1965 to 1970.
In the last 25 years of the period, the result is the same the trend in the previous time that there was a continous dramatic decrease in the number of men using cigarettes from 500 to 250 people. In the same period, it is noticeable that the number of the people who were smoking women per 1000 people in Someland dropped slightly from more 300 to about 200 smoker, however just from 1990 to 2000 the figure of women smoker fell sharply by nearly 90 people
