The bar graph elucidates the amount of money invested in bonds or stocks in some country in 2001 to 2006.
It is observed from the graph that both investment categories increased over the projected periods but with more preference in investing in stocks than those of bonds.
At the beginning of the period, 100 billions of dollars invested in bonds while 270 billion invested for stocks. Over the next years the level became similar, with both components standing between 120 and 220 billion. However, there was a drastic increase for stock investments in 2004 where 289 billion of money was collected. Meanwhile, the investment on bonds grew from 157 billion to 162 billion from 2003 to 2004. This trend continued until 2005 - there was a fast growth rate for stock market while a steady growth trend for bond market. In 2005, 170 billion of money was gathered in bonds whilst 297 billion of money was recorded for stocks. The amount of money collected in stock market in 2006 was 311 billion compared to 188 billion for bonds.
