The line graph gives information about the number of four different means of transport in the United Kingdom from 1974 to 2002.
Overall, it is evident that the figure for the road was still highest than the three remaining modes of transport, the opposite was true for the number of the pipeline. Besides, the numbers of water and rail overtook in 1978.
Staring the period, in 1974, while the point of road accounted for approximately 70 percent, pipeline transport witnessed only 3 percent, which was lower nearly 20 times than the figure for people used road. How much water and rail were used in the United Kingdom were approximately identical, at 39 percent and 40 percent respectively.
While road, water and pipeline increased quite significantly, growing 30 percent, 20 percent and 19 percent respectively in the period, the figure for rail saw a slight increase, which rose only 1 percent at the end of the period. On the other hand, from 1994 to 2002, the number of pipeline leveled off, stood at 21 percent. Similarly, how many people used water also remain unchanged between 1982 to 1993.
