How often do you change your car? and What car do you buy?
The bar charts display the results from a 2009 survey regarding people's automobile purchasing habits in a European country.
Looking at the graph, it is immediately obvious that the majority of consumers tend to buy a new car after five years or more of using their old vehicle. Meanwhile, secondhand cars were the most popular choice with regards to the type of vehicle purchased.
The first bar chart shows that approximately 52% of people in this area changed cars after 5 or more years and roughly 37% of residents bought a new car after 3-4 years. About 5% of citizens replaced cars after 2 years of use, while there was only around 1% of the population exchanged their cars every year. Additionally, about 2% of people didn't even own a car.
With regards to the kind of vehicle shopped, it seems that people here liked second-hand cars, so the percentage of gaining this type of automobile was the highest, at nearly 70%. Whilst approximately 25% got a brand new vehicle, almost 10% of resident sometimes bought either new or second-hand.
