Essay topics:

The line charts give information about the demand for steel and number of workers employed in a country from January to December.

Provided are charts illustrating the data about the need for steel and the employees’ figure who worked in a nation over a one-year period. At the onset, the data for steel produced has seen a downward trend when the number of workers has the same pattern. On the contrary, the amount of actual demand experiences a fluctuation from January to December.

Turing to the first line chart, 4,000 million tonnes are produced doubling the demand for steel indeed in January. In the first quarter of the year, the statistic for steel manufactured reaches its pinnacle of 5,000 million tonnes while actual steel required also hits the highest point of 3,000 million tonnes some time afterward. After that, the production number remains intact from March to nearly July, then slightly falls to approximately 3,200 million tonnes in August. It climbs considerably to about 5,000 million tonnes in the third four months and sinks to the figure of 900 million tonnes at the end of the year. It is apparent that the data for needs for steel is witnessed an oscillation from March to October declining sharply to the statistic for 0 million tonnes in November. It is noticeable that the requirement for steel in fact rises speedily to 2,000 million tonnes which is 2.2 times the amount produced at the same time.

Regarding the second chart, the number of workers beginning with 5,000 thousand raises slightly to the peak of nearly 5,500 thousand in February. In March, it plunges dramatically to the figure of 3,000 thousand and stays stable until May. There the volume of total employees varies between 2,500 to 3,500 thousand from May to September. In the fourth quarter of the year, the number of total workers sinks significantly to 1,000 thousand individuals which is one-fifth of its starting point.
