The line graph illustrates the amount of fast food consumed by teenagers in Australia between 1975 and 2000. Overall, it is evident that the consumption of fish and chip declined, whereas the amount of pizza and hamburgers consumed rose over a 25-year period.

In 1975, the amount of fish and chips consumed was dramatically higher than pizza and hamburgers, at 100 times eaten a year for fish and chips and approximately 5 times eaten and 10 times eaten per year for pizza and hamburgers respectively. However, fish and chips consumption fluctuated between 100 times eaten and 80 times eaten from 1975 to 1985. By contrast, this figures for pizza and hamburgers significantly increased over this period.

By 1985, the consumption of fish and chips began to considerably decreased and it was only consumed just under 40 times per year in 2000. Contrast with fish and chips, pizza consumption continued to grow to 1995 and then it remained stable ai just under 80 times between 1995 and 2000. The figure for hamburgers slightly increased in 1985 and reached around 100 times in 2000.
