The line graph below shows the percentage of tourists to Scotland who visited four different attractions in Edinburgh.
The given line graph illustrated the proportion of travelers visiting four distinctive destinations in Edinburgh of Scotland in three decades from 1980 to 2010.
In general, the number of people visiting the castle and zoo slightly increased, while the portion of tourists who traveled for festivals and aquariums dropped.
On the one hand, in the first period from 1980 to 1995, castle visitors sharply rose and hit the peak at 45%, nearly double compared with the starting point. However, the number of people experiencing the castle gradually fell to 30%, but it still was the most attractive place in the end. On the contrary, the number of people going to the zoo fluctuated around 12% from 1980 to 2000, followed by a shift that changed the zoo to the third popular destination in 2010.
On the other hand, in the first decade, the percentage of people stopping the aquarium altered, but it remained around 20%. Next, aquarium travelers dramatically decreased from 1990 to 2010 and turned into the lowest point with under 10%. Otherwise, people going to the festivals declined minimally over the whole period, and it dropped to the second favorite place in 2010.
