You should write at least 150 words.
The chart illustrates the size of the population of England and Wales as well as their fatality and fertility rate in a period of three centuries spanning from 1700 to 2000.
Overall, as can be seen from the chart, the death rate underwent a downward trend while the population size experienced an upheaval. In the meantime, the ratio of birth rate fluctuated throughout the years.
The patterns of death and birth quotas had a lot in common. In 1700, they reached 26 and 30 respectively. Fifty years later, the numbers rocketed; then, from 1750 to 1800, they plateaued at 36 and 40 orderly. The fertility and fatality rates nosedived in the subsequent period; after that, from 1850 to 1900, they remained seamless. However, while death figures continued to decrease, its counterpart galloped suddenly to 34 at the end of the period.
Meanwhile, population size rose rapidly. Initially, it was about two million people, then the figure experienced positive growth from 1700-1750 and went down later. Then, the number kept soaring precipitously to circa fifty million in 2000.
