The given graphs provide information on the US tourism frequency by its residents and foreign guests.
It is worth noting, that the visits from the US were outnumbered than those traveled to the US as a tourist. Furthermore, Americans tended to visit Spain and France more than anything else.
In 1979 visits abroad by the US residents accounted for about 15 million, which is a little bit more than overseas visits. In the next 5 years, the figures for American tourists grew up to around 20 million, while the index for the latter stayed almost stable. At the mid-1980s, the numbers of foreign visitors to the US rose significantly, by 10 million. During the next ten years, the figures for abroad visits by the US people rose marginally, peaked at more than half of all American tourists, while the numbers of visits by overseas residents reached about 27 million.
Regarding the bar graph, more than 10 million of the US tourists visited France in 1999 and just under 9 million preferred to visit Spain. On the contrast, less number of people traveled the USA, Greece, and Turkey. All indicators vary from two to about 3.5 million.
