The map and the associated four pie charts illustrate the utility of land in four different area in America. It is obvious from the demonstration that the four regions Central, East, South and South west vary from each other in terms of the purposes of land using.

According to the pie charts, crops represent a significant percentage of land using in the Central, South as well as South West. This is true especially in the South where approximately 75% of the land is used for growing crops. Farming, on the other hand, comes to the second place contributing to 25% in the Central, 25% om the South and 20% in the South West respectively. The East region is different from the other three areas by devoting a majority of land to farming (75%) and only 20% of land to crops. Both of these four regions have a small proportion of land for other purpose covering only 18% in the East, 5% in the South, 19% in the South West and 19% in the Central area respectively.
