The maps demonstrate the outline of significant changes for a ground floor in a library between 2001 and 2009.
Overall, the maps highlight the drastic developments made for the library from being an old-fashioned to a modernized one. Similarly, various amenities with regard to the book section were increased, along with library development.
In the year 2001, there was a central entrance to enter, and a librarian desk before it, along with stairs in the south-east corner of the book store. Inside the room, square shaped tables were located in the central part, and newspapers and periodicals were adjacent to the furniture. Also, a history and fiction book sections were in the west and north side of the ground floor respectively, in addition to it a self help in the south-west corner.
However, the second map reveals the dramatic alterations made to the study room in 2009, different types of book sections in the west were introduced such as kitchen, economics and law next to self help, history and fiction. Moreover, the space for Newspapers was replaced by Films and DVDs that were adjacent to rectangular tables, where the count was declined compared to original plan. Another spectacular change was the setting up of computer facilities, whereas the main gate, stairs and office desk remained unaltered in 2009. A final interesting development was a certain area confined for children to read the books.
