The maps give information about the changes that are going to make to the centre of a town called Islip. Overall, more buildings and roads are expected to be constructed in Islip, including a new shopping centre and better city arrangement.
As the first map shows, there is a main road running from east to west in the centre of Islip town, accompanied by eight shops in its both sides. The residential area is situated to the south of the main road, while the countryside is sited in the north. There is also a school and a park to the south of the road, located in the west and east sides of this town. Each of them is connected to the main road by a small path.
In the second map, a variety of changes are planned for Islip. The most significant one is that the main road is going to be replaced by a dual-carriageway ring road, surrounding the town centre and connecting the school and the park. In addition, a part of the main road across the town is expected to be a pedestrians-only road. To the north of this road, shops are planned to be demolished to make room for a new shopping centre, as well as a bus station and a car park on its both sides. Two new housing areas are also planned near the park and on the north-east side of the town centre.
