The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.
The diagrams illustrate some proposed changes to the central area of the town of Islip.
Overall, town centre with planned development have practical changes with the most noticeable being the relocation and expansion of shops and new housing.
Look at the diagram, it can be seen that with town centre now, the road is short and interrupt but with planned development the road is expanding and covering the whole town center. With planned development new housing next to the park and housing is in front of shops. The main road was converted into a pedestrian only. Look at the map, we can see Islip now don’t have bus station or places for vehicular traffic but Islip planned development set up bus station and car park.
Islip in the future, the shops will replacing by the shopping centre and the second new housing right on the way in town centre.
