The maps below show changes in a local industrial village of England called Stamdorf between 1985 and 2015.
The maps illustrate the construction in the local industrial village of Stamdorf in England at two different times: 1985 and 2015.
Overall, there has been a massive transformation in this village over the last 30 years, with more contemporary buildings being built. However, its layout in 2015 was still the same as in 1985, which had a bridge built across the Thames river connecting both sides of Arlington Avenue.
In 1985, the only notable establishment in the village was the factory on the banks of the Thames river, on the northeast side of the Arlington Road. Furthermore, a wooden bridge, which was located in the middle of the Thames, was across the river. Moving towards the northwest, crossing the bridge, on the right side of Arlington Road, an area that has small roadside inns was situated, and opposite this place, on the other side of the road, there existed a hexagon field.
In 2015, there were a plethora of modern buildings being built and divided into three territories, with housing estate 1 on the north side of the Thames river, while housing estate 2 was placed on the south side of this river. The old factories were demolished, relocated, and renovated into an industrial zone that appeared exactly to the north of Stamdorf, with a staff quarter located to the southwest of the industrial area. Additionally, a wooden bridge was replaced by a steel bridge, and there was a new crossroads that led straight ahead to an industrial zone. Finally, the field was transferred to the southwest corner of Arlington Road, while the roadside inns were shifted to the eastern side of the river, in the southeast corner.
