The maps below show the layouts of nature Museum between 2010 and 2013.
The maps compare the layout of a Nature museum before and after renovations from 2010 to 2013.
Overall, it is apparent that the size of the museum had significantly expanded with the garden to the left of the central building being demolished to make room for new indoor facilities. Another noticeable feature is that much of the original museum such as the lobby and dinosaurs exhibit stayed unchanged.
The lobby in the bottom of the central building comprising of the entrance and a ticket booth was untouched, and above that was the Ocean Hall which was enlarged. Turning to the room to the left of the Ocean Hall, it can be observed that an Ice age display had been erected, replacing the mammals one. Furthermore, a little Insect exhibit had been added in the bottom left of the room.
To the right side of the central buidling, a new building had been constructed in place of the old garden. The mammals exhibit originally located in the left building was relocated here with the addition of a Human Ongins display right beneath it. In addition, a shop and a cafe was added adjacent to the mammals display in order to service visitors.
