The maps show a road system as it is now and the proposed changes in the future to reduce the number of accidents. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The diagram illustrates a road system at present and the future plan which comes up with some significant changes in order to lessen the accident figures.
Overall, there are two main changes in the proposal which are adding traffic lights and a roundabout.
At present, the road system witnesses four places which are frequently happening accidents. One of the road traffic accident hotspots is located near the school where low lane street meets City Road. Therefore, the suggestion of traffic lights at this crossroads is to solve this problem and it also reduces the number of accidents which occur at the junction of Low Lane and Forest Road.
A big roundabout will be built as the proposal has mentioned at the intersection of City Road and Forest Road, where hotspots of road accidents often take place. This proposition also provides a new replacement access road to the supermarket where the old connecting road has involved collision.
