The first graph shows the number of British tourists to the US and American tourists to the UK between 2011 and 2015.
According to the first graph, it is clear that the UK tourists to US was always higher than the number of US visitors to UK and two nations both have their own fluctuation in the number of visitors over the pan of 4 years. In the US from 2011 to 2013, there was a decrease by approximately 5 million people from the UK tourist. Then from 2013 to the end of the period, British’s visitors went up gradually and peaked at 3.5 million in 2015. While UK tourists dip in 2012, US tourists vice versa had a slight increase to almost 3 million people then it significantly hit a low of 2.5 million in a following year. During the last 2 years, there was an increase trend was seen in the number of US visitors to reach the highest point of approximately 3.2 million people.
In the second graph, it is apparent that there was a gap between the spent by the UK tourists and that from the US tourists. From the beginning of the period to 4 years later, the gap had narrowed, especially from nearly $1million to approximately $2million. There was always an increase pattern in the amount spent by the UK, went up almost double from the start year of the period to reach the highest point at nearly 6$ million in 2015. In contrast, there was an up and down in the amount of expense by the US tourists from the first 3 years, then during the last period, it steadily grew to $4 million in 2015.
