Essay topics:

In a number of countries, some people think it is necessary to spend large sums money on constructing new railway lines for very fast trains between cities. Others believe the money should be spent on improving existing public transport.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

From the chart, we have got the percentage of men and women of various age groups who had taken part in regular physical activities in 2010.

In male group, 15 to 24 age group is highest in number (52.8) and 35 to 44 age group is lowest (39.5) in percentage who had taken part in exercise works. 65 to over age group has shown much interest as their percentage is 46.7. Besides, there is only 2% difference between 55 to 64 age group (45.1%) and 45-54 age group (43.1). Apart from this, 25 to 34 age group has 42.2 % participation rate.

In female group, 45 to 54 age group’s participation rate 53.3%, which is highest in number, 55 to 64 age group is ranked second (53%) in the chart and 65 and over group have lowest interest (47.1%). 35 to 44 age group’s participation ration is 52.5%. 15 to 24 and 25 to 34 age group’s participation percentages are 47.7 % and 48.9 % respectively.

So, after seeing the male and female group, it is clear that young males were more interested to take part in 2010 physical activities program than young females. On contrary, Middle age (45 to 54) women were more enthusiastic than middle age males.
