The provided picture illustrates the entire process of production of smoked fish from fresh raw fish. Overall, it can be seen that ten steps are required from catching fish to final sale.
In the first step, fish are caught from various sources and they are frozen. Afterward, the frozen fish are thawed and put into fresh water to clean for 5 minutes. Subsequently, the cleaned fish are cut open and immersed in salt water for 30 minutes. Additionally, the yellow color is also added to the salt water. Thereafter the fish are taken out of the salted yellow colour water and smoked for the next 30 minutes. In the next step, smoked fish are packed for storing as well as stored the packet in cold storage to keep them fresh for a certain time. Later the stored fish packets are distributed for final sale.
In conclusion, it is observed that the process of producing smoked fish is very convoluted involving many tortuous steps.
