The pie chart illustrates the amount of money the UAE government spent on different sectors in 2000 measured in AED billions.

Overall, a very large sum of money was spent on public welfare assistance, namely on social security, health service and education. At the same time, transport sector accounted for the smallest budget allocation.

As is given in the chart, the UAE government disbursed more than 300 billion AED to 9 important sectors and social security made up the highest share of 100 billion of that total amount. Similarly, the second highest budget allocation was for health and personal services (53 billion) followed by the expenditure on education (38 billion). Debt interest and Defence sectors cost 23 and 22 billions respectively. Meanwhile, three sectors, that are law and order, housing and environment, industry and agriculture required 45 billion overall. Finally, government expenditure on transport was just 9 billion with 23 billion AED paid for other expenditures in 2000.
