The given charts illustrate the average of money which people in 2 countries spent in 2010 on 5 kinds of household, namely Japan and Malaysia.
In general, what stands out from the graph is that people in Malaysia spent on other goods and services made up the largest percentage of money in total. It is clear to see that the proportion of transport expenditure was the lowest in both charts.
When it comes to Japan, the housing expenditure which made up 29% in 2010 was the most popular percentage in 2010. This is 8% higher than the percentage of money which people spent on other goods and services and 5% more than the figure for food. In the meantime, the proportion of health care expenditure was 20%, which was more than 3 times as high as the figure for transport, at 6%.
Looking at Malaysia's chart, the proportion of the other goods and services expenditure was 34%. Besides that, the percentage of money which people in Malaysia spent on food was 27%, which was only 1% higher than the figure for housing. Finally, the proportion of transport expenditure was the least common expenditure in 2010, at 3%.
