Looking more closely at the chart, it is obvious from the data that water used for industrial purpose seems to be the main consumption in North America and Europe, but others are for agriculture purpose.
According to the graphs, water is consumed by industrial activities at approximately half of the total consumption in North America and Europe. The second purpose of water used in both North America and Europe is for agriculture which accounts for 39% and 32% respectively. These two countries consume water for household between 13% and 15%.
On another chart, more than three-quarter of the water consumption in the rest countries is for agricultural purpose except South America at 71%. Domestic usages in South America, Africa, and Central Asia are the second water used at 19%, 9% and 7% respectively, but this purpose is the least important usage for South East Asia around 7%. All of these counties consume water for industrial activities ranging from 5% to 12%.
