Overall, as can be seen, there is a tangible difference between 18-26 age group with 60-70 age group in terms of allocating their spare time via the internet. While the younger generation tends to devote more time on social networking and far less on cinema and travel the elderly people spend most of their free time on cinema and travel and far lower on social networking.
Looking at the youth graph, social networking with 24% and music and films with 21% ranked first and second regarding the free time spent on the internet activities, followed by researching with 20% and playing games with 18%. Making bookings and purchases accounted for a meager percentage of the total with 5% and 12% respectively.
Regarding the senescent people illustration, it is crystal clear that the trend is largely reversed. Playing games and social networking make up an insignificant amount, lower than 10%; however, researching and booking accounted for more than half of the time of older people.
