The pie charts compare the 6 different cultural and leisure activities of a survey in which children participate in.
Overall, there were differences in terms of cultural and leisure activities between genders. Boys preferred computer games the most whereas dancing for girls. While there was an equal percentage of boys and girls who were listening to music, reading had the biggest difference in number.
In the first chart, it could be seen that the most preferred activity for boys was computer games at roughly a third. This was followed by basketball at around one quarter and then by soccer at 17%. The number of boys who engaged in skateboarding and listening to music was 11% and 10% respectively. Boys showed little interest in reading at a mere 2%.
The second graph illustrates that dancing was the most liked activity for girls at 27% and the second was reading at more than a fifth. There were 16% and 11% of girls who played computer games and netball respectively. While gymnastics comprised 11 %, listening to music had the smallest figure at 10%.
