Essay topics:

The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant

The pictures compare the present outline of a university sports centre and the plans of how it going to be reconstructed in the future.

It is clear that the university sports centre is planning to build more facilities indoor such as dance studio, café, leisure pool, sports hall and sports shop. It has two outdoor courts now but will be totally removed in the future plans.

From the entrance, before reception, there will be two new facilities which is café and sports shop, on its right and left side, changing room are just right next to them. Go a bit further towards north pass the reception, we can see that the future plans are roughly same as the present university sports centre, around 25m pool, there are changing room, seating and gym, except that gym will take more place than now.

University sports centre has east and west outside courts. By contrast, it will have a leisure pool that will replace the west outside courts and sports hall will take the place from east outside courts instead. There will be two rooms of dance studio on the east, one will be right next to the gym and the other one will face to the sports hall.
