The plans below show the layout of a university's sports centre now, and how it will look after some development. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The two maps illustrate the current status of a university's sports centre and some changes planned for it in the future. Overall, the most obvious feature is that the two separate outdoor courts will be pulled down to make way for a bigger building which consists of all the facilities.
Currently, the sports centre has one main building with a reception facing the entrance and a 25m pool in the middle. The changing room and seating area are on opposite sides, while the gym is located to the north. Additionally, two outdoor courts are available and can be easily accessed from the centre.
Looking at the second layout, there will be plans to demolish those two courts for the enlargement of the main building. A new sports hall will be constructed on the right of the seating, and the gym is planned to be enlarged to cover its length. A new cafe and changing room are also going to be built opposite the sports hall, and the corridor connecting them with the gym will have two dance studios on its right side. To the west of the building, an additional leisure pool will be added, facing another changing room and a sports shop.
