The process shows how plants create food.
The diagram illustrates the process of plants generating food. Overall, in order to be able to function as well as produce two outcomes, threes need four different elements from nature.
First of all, threes need sunlight so that it is able to convert energy into starch. Then, minerals are extracted from the soil by roots. Another necessary condition for the process of producing food is carbon dioxide which is taken in by leaves during the daytime. The final element required is water from the rain which is also absorbed by tree roots.
Secondly, sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water are combined and converted into sugar, which is stored in leaves or stems when required. The sugar, or food, is used for the growing of trees or repairing damaged leaves, stems or other parts of plants. A byproduct is produced together with sugar is oxygen, which is then released into the environment.
