The table and pie charts depict details anout police budget for 2017 and 2018 in one area of Britain. The table illustrates the source of money while the charts show the distribution of budget.
Overall, all sources of financial distribution increased throughout the period. Most money was allocated on salaries of officiers and staff while only a few amount of money was spent on technology.
As can be seen from the table, in 2017. Government contribution accounted for 175,5 million pounds, which was the highest, whereas the figure for other sources was only 38 million pounds. In 2018, there has been a slight growth in the national government section and other sources section to 192,3 million pounds and38,5 pounds respectively. Meanwhile, police budget provison from local taxes went up significantly from 91,2 million pounds in the first year to 102,3 million pounds in 2018. The total money climbed sharply from 304,7 million pounds in 2017 to 318,6 million pounds in 2018.
Three out of four proportion of money was distributed to officiers and staff in 2017 but the figure decreased to just under 70%. Only 8% of financial budget was invested to technology in 2017, then grew sharply to 14% in the next year. The figure for building and transport remained unchange over the period.
