The tabular chart depicts the statistics about global electricity generated by renewable sources over a span of 4 years from 2009 to 2012.
Overall, the production of electricity using renewable material across the world increases continuously for each type throughout the time period.
It is apparent from the table that the most prominent source of renewable energy was hydraulic energy as it inclined from 3329 TWh in 2009 to 3363 TWh in 2012. Bio-mass and wind energy also generated significant amount of electricity. In 2009, around 250 TWh of electricity was produced by each of these types. However, the amount of electricity created by wind energy got doubled in 3 years times whereas a small increment of merely 80 TWh was seen in the generation of bio-mass energy.
Meanwhile, the power supply used to produce from solar energy became five times from 21 TWh to 104 TWh at the end of the time phase. While, geothermal energy had a minimal rise in its production amount which was just 3 TWh.
