The table describes the differences of the way residents in England transferring measure by average distance in miles from 1985 to 2000.
Overview, the average distance of almost modes of travel had risen except walking, bicycle and local bus between 1985 and 2000 and the favorite traffic in England was car with the highest proportion and made the total increasing at all modes.
First of all, the mode of travel which had the biggest number in travelling distance had gown about 1500 miles after 15 years. In train and other categories mode of travel, there are considerable number and had risen from 289 and 450 to 366 and 585 respectively. The long distance bus had doubled its number and it also tripled in taxi by 15 years.
On the other hand, the average distance of local bus had dramatically declined from 429 into 274 during the period from 1985 to 2000. In the situation of bicycle and walking, there were slightly decreased approximately 10 to 13 miles lower than the number in 1985.
