The given table illustrates the information about the percentage of people who are more than 60 year old in six different areas Africa, North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, Oceania in the year 2000 and their predicted numbers in 2050. The whole world population present in both years.

At the first glance, it is explicit education that the highest ratio of over sixty can be accounted for Europe almost one-fifth and is expected to grow around two in ten by 2050. However, North America, Asia, Oceania had a similar population approx one in ten in 2000. This trend is predicted to double by 2050. Whereas, Latin America population was observed seven percent and is estimated to increase around 18 percent. Only five percent population had in Africa in 2000 and is expected to more than two times and reach 12 percent in 2050. While, the whole world population of over 60 year-olds was figured 13% and is predicted to climb up more than double by 2050.

Overall, the figures suggest that the population of 60 years old will continue to grow in all areas but the growth will be more marked in Europe.
