The table below gives information about students studying in six departments in an Australian university in 2011 Summarise the information making comparisons where relevant

The table compares the various percentages of undergraduate students studying in six fields in a university of Australia in 2011.
It is clear that Australian female students were more likely to study humanities and education in 2011. In contrast, the proportions of pupils who speak languages other than English first and were born outside Australia were lower at the same time.
In majors like humanities, education, science and physics, more than half of the Australian students were females. Among these majors, females tended to like learning humanities most, with 72% students learning it, followed by education, physics and science, at 68%, 56% and 52% respectively. Inversely, the proportions of female students studying information technology and engineering were just 17% and 15% respectively in 2011.
The percentages of students whose mother tongue was not English were less than half in all fields, with the figures for science subjects remaining relatively higher, ranging from 38% to 49% in 2011. Otherwise, the figures for humanities and education were 12% and 16% students respectively in this year.
Foreign students had quite similar proportions with pupils whose mother tongue was not English. The percentages of foreign students in an Australian university in 2011 learning physics and information technology were similar, at 56%, followed by that of engineering and science, at 48%, and 31% respectively. Then again, humanities and education ranked last, only 20% and 23% respectively at the same time.
