The given table compares the percentages of money spent by consumers on different products and services in five countries in 2002.
We can see from the table that most of money was spent on food, drinks and tobacco in five countries and Italian consumer spending on clothing was highest. Meanwhile, the Spanish spent the least money on leisure and education.
To be more specific, the Irish spent nearly 29% of money on food, drinks and tobacco which was almost two times higher than in Sweden. Moreover, the percentage of money that was used for clothing and footwear was highest in Italy, with 9% while the rates in Ireland and Turkey were almost the same, with 6,5% in each country.
It is obvious that the Spanish utilized the least proportion of money on leisure and education, with just 1,98%, while the ratios in Italy and Turkey were 3,2% and nearly 4,4% correspondingly. Additionally, the Swedish spent almost 15,8% of money on food, drinks, tobacco and 5,4% on clothing.
